Welcome to Leon's history notes - a repository for my notes as I learn history as an amateur historian.
I'm organizing my notes based on a period (for example Neolithic, Imperial Antiquity, Long 19th Century, etc.) and location (Egypt, Mesopotamia, ...). For each period and location I note down important events, people, locations, religion, etc. and attach times to them.
I built this site to make notes more navigable - in a typical bullet-points style note app, things can quickly become hard to view and revise. In this site, notes will be viewable through multiple perspectives: period based (what happened in this period accross the world?), location based (what happened in Egypt over time?) and map based (show events on the map).
It's still early days - for now, only a few note exist, and they can only be viewed in a flat bullet point view. I will keep updating the site with new features and notes as I progress through this journey of learning all of world's history.
